In a tight battle between traditional Bay Area powers, the Gladiators fell to host Ohlone 2-1 on March 2.

Chabot threatened to take the lead in the top of the ninth, loading the bases before Tim O'Dalaigh drew an RBI walk to bring home Francisco Pedraza. But Ohlone reliever Joseph Jennison worked out of the jam to pick up the save.

Chabot leadoff Troy Bachand was 2 for 4, and Cole Coffey, David Langer, Jalen Bustos, and Pedraza all had singles.

Chabot starter Chris Tonna allowed two hits and a run over three innings. Reliever Brian Tan allowed four hits and a run over 4.1 innings. Logan Caton was solid in the eighth, striking out one and allowing no hits.
