When You’re Hot, You’re Hot

The Tim O'Dalaigh wrecking ball claimed another victim on March 27.

The Chabot cleanup hitter slugged his second home run in as many games this week as the Gladiators routed Canada-Redwood City 11-2 on March 27 for their seventh straight victory.

After David Langer's RBI double gave Chabot a 1-0 lead in the first inning at Gene Wellman Field, O'Dalaigh launched a two-homer to set the tone for the blowout. O'Dalaigh had a grand slam in a football score of a 23-2 win over West Valley on March 26.

Bachand and Langer each had two doubles and Tyler Rourke completed the scoring with a rousing three-run double in the bottom of the eighth. Francisco Pedraza had a two-run single in the third.

In the second, O'Dalaigh, who had four RBIs, had an RBI sacrifice fly to score Cole Coffey.

O'Dalaigh has three homers and 27 RBIs this season. Langer leads Chabot with four Big Flies, 33 RBIs and nine doubles.

Chabot starter TJ Meyers (4-3) allowed two earned runs over 5.0 innings against Canada. A trio of Chabot relievers, Adrian Padilla, Logan Caton (2.1 innings, 1 hit, 2 strikeouts) and Marcus Dubois, nailed down the win.
