TONNA, BATS DELIVER AS CHABOT BASEBALL BESTS OHLONE IN NONCONFERENCE PLAY

Starter Chris Tonna allowed just three hits and one earned run over 7.0 innings as the Chabot baseball team continued to preparare for conference play with a 7-3 triumph over host Ohlone Saturday, Feb. 16.
Cole Coffey paced a 12-hit Chabot offense going 3 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. His three-run double in the fifth inning upped Chabot's lead to 5-0. Coffey scored in the sixth in Manny Garcia's RBI single, making it 6-0.
Noah Stewart, Jake Crittenden and Gerald Nervis each had two hits and scored a run for the winners. Stewart, Nervis and Trevor Contier also had RBIs.
In a busy week ahead, Chabot will host Cosumnes River at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19 before traveling to Sierra Thursday, Feb. 21 and hosting Laney on Friday, Feb. 22.
