Gerald Nervis slugged a three-run home run as the Chabot baseball team took a 6-5 win over Laney on Feb. 22 at Gene Wellman Field.
Jakob Simmons, who doubled, had two hits for the Gladiators.
Tim Michael helped clinch the win with a two-run single to highlight a three-run seventh. Shortstop Manny Garcia also had a clutch RBI single in the rally.
Starting pitcher Chris Tonna allowed just three earned runs over six innings with four strikeouts and five walks. Reliever Mark Turnquist nailed it down working a scoreless top of the ninth.
