GLADS ENJOY A BIG WEEK!

Things are looking up for the Chabot men's soccer team.
In a memorable and productive week, the Glads went 1-0-1 against two tough opponents and earned their first conference win in five years.
Chabot (5-5-2, 1-3-2 Coast-South) first went on the road and tied at Cañada, 1-1, with a free-kick goal from Monir Gardizi tying the score just before halftime. The Glads then beat visiting Cabrillo 1-0 on a goal by Mahmoud Shimila in the 70th minute.
"Getting out of that week with a win and a tie on the road is great," said Chabot head coach Geoff Aguiar, in his first season. "Our team defense has continued to improve; we've only conceded two goals total in the last 3 games."
The Glads, riding a three-game unbeaten streak in conference, will host Ohlone at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, and then will host West Valley on Friday.
