CHABOT STARS WEATHER THE STORM

Wet and wild weather did not deter Chabot track and field athletes from delivering solid performances at their own Mike Fanelli Invitational March 29-30.

How wild was the weather? Try over a half inch of rain and high winds on Friday, and a lightning delay on Saturday.

Regarding Chabot highlights, Kyle Galinis prevailed in the full 2 mile (3218 meters) in 9:50. Daniel Trampe ran a near-personal best in 25-plus mph winds with a time of 4:04.

STANFORD MEET

The sprints at Stanford also saw far from optimal conditions. However, Chabot's Robert Stitts won his preliminary heat in the 100 in 10.80 and qualified for the Final. The Glads' men's 4x100 relay made their season debut with a time of 42.08.
