Former Chabot women's basketball star Olivia Vezaldenos has picked up right where she left off at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. 

The CU sophomore transfer was named Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday. 

Vezaldenos scored a season-high 26 points in the Cavs' 87-54 win over Warner Pacific in their home opener last week. CU notched its fifth win of the season as Vezaldenos, a guard, was 9 of 16 from the field, 6 of 10 from 3-point range. She also had a season-high five steals.

She is averaging 12.0 points a game, shooting 40.7 percent from the field.
