CHABOT WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ROCKING AND ROLLING DOWN THE STRETCH

The Chabot women continue to turn up the volume down the stretch. With a showdown with CCSF looming on Wednesday in San Francisco, the Gladiators are coming off back-to-back wins last week over Skyline and Ohlone.
The Gladiators, guided by head coach Mark Anger, roared by Skyline in the second half for a 70-58 win. Mia Finnie led the way with 23 points (9 of 13 from the floor).
"Big time road win for the girls," Chabot coach Mark Anger tweeted after the game. "Showed a lot of toughness against a very good Skyline team."
Kim Masulit and Zakiya Mahoney also reached double digits with 14 points and 10 points, respectively. Chabot played tremendous defense in the second half, limiting Skyline to just 23 points while ringing up 39 points.
Against winless Ohlone, Masulit led the way with 25 points and generous Kendra Jueitt had 10 assists. Mahoney had a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards. Mimi Sadberry, Ferryn Steen and Dejah Mixon combined for 22 points off the bench.
Chabot (19-8, 8-2 Coast-North) can move into a tie for first place by upsetting CCSF (20-3, 9-1), which edged the Gladiators 74-72 on Jan. 25 in Hayward.
