Score 10 for the Gladiators!
Emily Hornig scored four goals and Marin Michieli had a hat trick in the first half as the Chabot women's soccer team routed host Napa Valley 10-1 on Friday, Sept. 8 in a nonconference match.
Selena Davalos had three assists for the Glads, and Sophia Amezcua, Elizabeth Tapia and Brenda Munoz also scored for the winners.
Chabot (2-1) enjoyed a "comfortable win," said head coach Dan Chubbock.
"Napa had some strong players, but they had less depth than us and we controlled the game from the offense. Although the score was one-sided, the girls did what they needed to do and grew in confidence. This was a similar opposition to our opener (a 5-0 win over Marin), but we were more controlled in possession and clinical in front of goal," the coach continued.
Chabot will host Merritt at 1 p.m. on Tuesday and the Redwoods at noon on Friday.
