GLADS BOUNCE BACK WITH NICE WIN

The Chabot women's soccer team welcomed back Giselle Caballero, a key central defender, and notched a 1-0 win over visiting Foothill on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Marin Michiele scored the winner off a Natalia Lumley assist in the 15th minute as the Glads improved to 6-2-1 overall and 2-1-0 in the Coast-South Conference.
The Glads next host district sister school Las Positas at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
Caballero and Jasmine De La Torre sat out a 7-0 loss to Coast-North-leading Skyline on Oct. 6, both with head injuries. But in Tuesday's triumph, Caballero started alongside center back Sophia Amezcua in the shutout. Amezcua sat out a 1-1 draw against Foothill on Sept. 22 due to an illness.
Goalkeeper Nat Hassmann came up big in the rematch against Foothill, making five saves.
Chabot coach Dan Chubbock said his team was "off kilter" against Skyline and expected the Glads to bounce back well against Foothill.
