The Chabot women's tennis team set a school record for wins in a season with a 7-1 triumph over Solano April 11 in the quarterfinals of the Northern California Team Dual Playoffs.
It marked the 21st win for the No. 3 seeded Gladiators (21-4), eclipsing the previous season mark held by the 2008 team (20-2).
Chabot will next travel to No. 2 seed American River in the NorCal semifinals.
Highlights of Tuesday's historic win included the following:
Stephanie Huang d. Ashley Constaine, 6-0 6-0.
Sharon Cahill d. Sierra Shackelford, 7-5 6-1.
Angelina Battur d. Jyne Velano, 4-6 6-4 6-3.
Diana Rodriguez d. Yasmeen Awad, 6-2 6-4.

COAST CONFERENCE TOURNEY: Last week in the Coast Conference Tournament, Chabot had six women's players qualify for the CCCAA State Tournament in Ojai on April 26-29.
