GLADIATORS DIAL UP A DIAMOND DANDY

Chabot College baseball coach Will Tavis called it a "good team win."
Indeed, the Gladiators pitched and hit well and played solid defense in a 6-1 triumph over Lassen on Saturday, Feb. 19 in nonconference play.

Reliever Ryan Muir closed it out, allowing no hits and striking out four over 1.2 innings. The Gladiators (5-5) were led on offense by John Gazdar, who doubled twice in four at-bats; Justin Durflinger (2 for 4, triple, home run); and Sam Gilliam (2 for 3, home run).
In other action last week, Chabot beat Los Medanos 8-2 and fell to Diablo Valley 10-3.
Against Los Medanos, first baseman Matt Sugden was 2 for 3 with two RBI. He slugged a double and a home run. Gazdar was 2 for 3 with two runs and an RBI.
