CHABOT BASEBALL ON A HOT STREAK

The Chabot baseball team made it three wins in a row and five out of six with a 10-5 triumph over Hartnell. Brian Duroff, Jon Jon Gazdar and Sam Gilliam all swung hot bats.
Duroff was 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBI, Gazdar was 3 for 4 with three RBI and Gilliam was 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI.
The Gladiators also got a commanding win at De Anza College, 15-8.
"Good TEAM win," shared Chabot coach Will Tavis.
Justin Durflinger was 3 for 5 with three RBI, Sugden was 4 for 5 with a home run and three RBI, Gazdar was 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI, Gilliam was 2 for 5 with a double, and Nick Mladinich was 2 for 4.
Josh Caravahlo struck out three over six innings, and Isaac Lamparas struck out three over two innings of relief.
Chabot also walloped Monterey Peninsula 11-3 with another well-rounded effort. Bryce Clark went six strong innings and fanned five. Penrod came in to strike out two over 1.1 innings.
Durflinger and Gilliam both had three hits, Mladinich homered and had three RBI, and Gazdar also blasted a home run. Nick Maestas was 2 for 4 with a home run an two RBI.
Chabot entered the week with a 16-10 overall record and 4-4 mark in the Coast-North, with a big game at Skyline on April 5, and then another road battle at CSM on April 7.
