Chabot (4-1) continued its winning ways early in the season with a 5-1 triumph over visiting Laney on Saturday, Feb. 4. Nick Walsh was 2 for 3 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI to highlight the effort. James Noble was solid, going 2 for 2 with an RBI triple that scored Nick Mladinich in the first inning. Mladinich was 1 for 2 with two runs scored and an RBI and is hitting .467 early in the season.
Ole Iverson piked up the pitching win with eight strikeouts over 4.0 innings, allowing three hits and one earned run. The Glads backed him with two runs the first and third innings.
Alonzo Guijarro also doubled and scored for the Glads.
