TJ Costello, a freshman infielder out of Dublin High, belted a three-run home run in the first inning and the Chabot baseball team walloped College of San Mateo 19-8 Saturday at Steve Friend Stadium for the Glads' first Coast-North win.
BIG HITTERS, BIG WINS
Chabot (9-4) entered the week atop the Coast-North Conference in overall record after blasting two opponents to end the previous. They trounced Contra Costa 27-3 in eight innings on Friday and Diablo Valley 6-0 on Saturday.
GLADS BREAK OUT THE BIG BATS!
The Chabot baseball team (7-3) continued its solid start with two wins in three tries this past week. Chabot pounded Gavilan 12-8 and Diablo Valley College 24-9, in seven innings, and then dropped a cliffhanger to Modesto Junior College, 6-5.
