GLADIATORS LAND BAY-6 HONORS

An impressive group of Chabot football players were picked to the Bay 6 All-Conference team, led by unanimous selections Esa Pole (6-7, 320), a dominant offensive tackle; Damien Moun, the state's top-ranked wideout with 73 receptions; and Tuakoi Mahe, who ranked No. 5 in the state and No. 1 in the conference in tackles.
Moun also ranked No. 11 in the state with 793 yards. He was voted as the Bay 6 No. 1 receiver.
Versatile offensive lineman Chris McAlpin (6-3, 315) earned his second All-Bay 6 selection and played all five positions for the Gladiators.
Robert Porter (6-2, 285), a Granada High graduate, was also a two-time All-Bay 6 pick. A force inside, he had 44 total tackles, seven sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss, as an interior offensive lineman.
Linebacker Pate Haunga (6-2, 250) was also a two-time all-conference pick who epitomized Gladiator football. He was all-conference on offense last year and didn't miss a beat this year after switching to defense.
Receiver Jeremiah Crum, a true freshman, was also All-Bay 6 after scoring 10 touchdowns. He had receiving performances of 109, 124, 163, and 114 yards.
Quarterback Kekoa Turangan has received an offer from Iowa Wesleyan.
