GLADIATORS ‘D’ DELIVERS WIN

The Chabot College men's basketball team played tenacious defense and completed the Shasta Colllege tournament on a winning note on November 20.
The Gladiators, playing without some key pieces throughout the tourney, outscored Santa Rosa 34-21 in the second half and rallied for a 67-63 win.
Chabot (4-3) showed resolve after trailing by nine at halftime as it continues to prepare for play in the powerful Coast-North Conference.
"We have yet to play any games with the entire roster. We will get continuity soon," Chabot head coach Keenan McMiller shared.
Isaiah Veal led the Gladiators against Santa Rosa with 18 points, converting 8 of 15 from the floor. David Ogunleye muscled up for a double-double with 14 rebounds and 10 points, Malik Kaba had eight points and eight boards.
Diggy Winbush came off the bench to grab eight defensive rebounds and score nine points.
Chabot opened the tourney with losses to American River, 83-75, and Merritt, 80-65.
The Gladiators will look for a big effort in their next game, at home against Bay Area-rival Diablo Valley on Dec. 10.
