SKYLAR ROBINSON COMMITS TO METRO STATE

Chabot College men's basketball coach Keenan McMiller is proud to announce that sophomore forward Skylar Robinson, a Dublin High graduate, has accepted a full scholarship with NCAA Division 2 Metropolitan State in Denver.
Robinson finishes at Chabot with a 3.4 GPA and an AA degree in Liberal Arts Social & Behavioral Science.
"We are all proud of Skylar and wish him the best moving up to Denver," McMiller shared in an email.
A leader on campus, Robinson averaged 9 points and 6 rebounds a game last season. The surging Gladiators were 18-11 overall and 8-6 in the Coast-North. Chabot beat Folsom Lake 92-69 in the first round of the CCCAA Regional Playoffs and fell to powerful host West Valley 81-64 in Round 2.
Robinson posted his thoughts on social media.
"I'm blessed and excited to announce my commitment to Metro State University of Denver (MSU) in Colorado on a full scholarship!" Robinson shared. "I would like to thank God, my parents, two brothers, my entire family, friends, mentors, coaches, trainers, teammates, coworkers, and everyone who's ever supported and inspired me throughout this process. I'm truly grateful and all of your support has never gone unnoticed."
He expressed gratitude to Chabot College and the Gladiators men's basketball team.
"I'm super excited for what's to come," he continued. "Thank you to all the coaches that have been a part of my recruitment this offseason. I couldn't be more joyful and blessed to reach this goal."
Note: The Metro State (MSU) Roadrunners hired Dan Ficke as their new men's basketball coach on April 21. Ficke previously guided Division 2 Belmont Abbey (NC) to a 61-25 record and three straight Conference Carolinas Tournament championship games over the past three seasons, winning two conference titles.
