The Chabot men's basketball team had a strong bounce-back win over Marin, 90-72, in nonconference action on Dec. 9.

The Gladiators (5-3), in their first action since a tough 92-90 loss to host Monterey Peninsula on Nov. 22, opened up a 15-point halftime lead and carried it through to a convincing win.

Jaiden Rivera paced the Gladiators with 22 points and seven rebounds. David Hector had 15 points and nine rebounds. Zach Broadous added 14 points, eight boards, four assists and three steals.

Rivera, a sophomore guard, leads the team in scoring with 17.4 points a game, followed by a trio of Diggy Winbush, Broadous and Hector, all averaging about 12 points. Hector has a team-high seven rebounds a game.

Chabot looks to keep it rolling at San Jose (9-3), ranked 20th in the state, on Tuesday, Dec. 13. The Gladiators will then face Hartnell to open the West Valley tournament on Dec. 16, and then will challenge CCCMBCA No. 4-ranked West Valley on Dec. 17.
