BIG EARLY TRACK MEET AT CHABOT

The Chabot Track and Field team will be hosting an early season meet on Friday at Gladiator Stadium, starting at 10:30 a.m.
The big meet will feature 17 schools and more than 600 student-athletes.
The Gladiators have some gifted athletes looking to etch their names in the Chabot history books this year:
Sophomore Egypt Hughes, out of Armijo HS - Fairfield: Hughes co-holds the school record in the 100 meters with a personal best of 11.90 seconds.
Freshmen Robert Stitts, of El Cerrito HS: Stitts comes in with a high school personal best of 10.31 in the 100, a time that competes for a community college state title on a yearly basis. Stitts will likely surpass the Chabot record of 10.35 held by 1984 USA Olympian in the triple jump Mike McRae.
Sophomore Daniel Trampe, of Dublin HS: Trampe is a 3.96 GPA business major likely transferring to UCSB or Santa Clara to continue his academic and athletic career. Trampe is 2nd on Chabot's all-time list in the 10,000 meters and finished fourth at the Cross Country State Championships this fall while also leading the cross country team to its first Coast Conference team title this past fall.
