The Gladiators (21-6, 7-2) have entered the final week of the regular season riding a seven-game winning streak and in a tie for first place with Skyline (18-9, 7-2) in the Coast-North, with City College of San Francisco a half game behind.

 

Chabot, No. 12 in the Feb. 3 CCCWBCA Rankings, can clinch at least a piece of the conference title with a road win over College of San Mateo on Friday, a likely occurrence considering the Gladiators' 49-point win over the Bulldogs on Jan. 29.

 

With Skyline and CCSF also expected to win their final conference games this week, it looks like there will be a three-way tie for the Coast-North crown.

 

In Chabot's 92-48 rout of Ohlone on Feb. 14, Zakiya Mahoney paced the Gladiators with 25 points and Adorah Buggs added 22 points. In a 97-39 win over host Las Positas on Feb. 12, the Gladiators got 22 points from Mahoney, 20 points from Angelina Franco and 18 from Nyah Willis. Kayla Tahaafe had a triple-double with 15 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. Adorah Buggs had a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds. Reina Phillips added 10 boards.
