CHABOT UPENDS SKYLINE IN THRILLER

The Gladiators moved into a tie for first place with a huge win over Skyline, ranked No. 7 in NorCal, 77-74 in the Coast-North on Jan. 28, which followed a 59-51 win at Foothill on Jan. 26.
Clearly, the Gladiators entered conference play battle-tested after a tough nonconference campaign.
Skyline (16-4, 3-1) and Chabot (10-10, 3-1) enter the week one-half game ahead of CSM and City College of San Francisco, both 2-1 in conference.
Dede Franklin led the charges against Skyline with 27 points, and Aryana Khalik had 16 points, including a clutch 3-pointer while drawing a foul with 2.6 seconds left that decided the outcome.
Against Foothill, Cassidy Duncan scored a team-high 22 points, and Franklin added 15 and had a "great floor game," according to Chabot coach Mark Anger.
Chabot has two more big games this week, at home against CSM on Wednesday, Feb. 2 and on the road against Skyline on Friday, Feb. 4.
