CHABOT MEN’S BASKETBALL HUGE WIN OVER CCSF

The Gladiators had a week for the ages. The Glads (16-8, 9-1) stunned State No. 2 City College of San Francisco 89-87 on Wednesday and moved into a tie for first place in the Coast-North Conference. Then the Gladiators, who are set to move up from No. 18 in the state rankings this week, also upended pesky Ohlone 67-65.
Chabot earned its first win over CCSF since 2015.
Diggy Winbush was up for the challenge in both massive home victories. He had a game-high 26 points against CCSF to go with five rebounds, four assists and two steals.  He was a clutch 14 of 15 from the free throw line.
Afterward, the hard-working Winbush called the blockbuster win over the Rams "a blessing from God. We worked hard for this all year."
Against Ohlone in a tense defensive battle, Winbush had 18 points (7-11 FG) and eight steals!
Also against CCSF, Zach Broadous had 25 points (5-10 3 pt.), and David Hector had a double-double of 10 points and 10 boards.
