GLAD TO BE ON A ROLL

The Chabot men's basketball team notched two more victories last week to up its winning streak to 11 — the fifth-longest current winning streak in the state — and remains tied for first place with CCSF in the Coast-North Conference.
The Gladiators (18-8, 11-1) beat district-rival Las Positas 94-75 and walloped Canada 90-66. They have two conference road games remaining before the playoffs, traveling to College of San Mateo on Feb. 15 and Skyline Feb. 17.
The Gladiators were 7-7 overall and 0-1 in conference after a loss to CCSF before reeling off 11 straight wins to become the talk of the state. The sweep of Las Positas this season means Chabot brought home of the perpetual Chabot-Las Positas Rivalry Trophy.
David Hector led the way against Las Positas with 26 points and 10 rebounds, David Ogunleye had 21 points and eight rebounds and Diggy Winbush tacked on 19 points, seven assists and four rebounds.
Makaio Mims and Zach Broadous both had 10 points and Jaiden Rivera chipped in eight points.
Against the Colts, Winbush led the way with 27 points. Seven assists and six rebounds. Hector had a double-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Rivera had 18 points and four rebounds.
