Chabot College sophomore Matt Proctor had a big meet for the home team at the Coast Conference Swim & Dive Championships this past week at Chabot.
Proctor qualified for the State Meet in the 400 individual medley and the 100 backstroke, leading the Chabot men's team to a strong second-place team finish behind Las Positas.
Proctor won the 400 IM race in a time of 4 minutes, 17.91 seconds.
Coast Conference meet
Men's standings: Las Positas 738 points, Chabot 501, De Anza 458, West Valley 377, Foothill 313, Ohlone 309, San Mateo 275, and Cabrillo 233.
