The Chabot College men's tennis team continued its solid season with a 2-1 record in the annual North vs. South Community College Team Tennis Tournament.

The prestigious event pitted three teams from the North against three teams from the South. Chabot helped the North beat the South 6-3.

In a 9-0 win over Bakersfield on March 23, Chabot's Jay Pandit prevailed 6-2, 6-0 in singles and Sam Smith won 6-3, 6-2.

Chabot, which has a 10-3 overall record and 2-1 conference mark, dropped a tight decision against Ventura 5-4 on March 16. Roger Wen dropped a tight battle, 2-6, 6-3, 10 (10). Pandit also took a close victory 4-6, 6-4, 10 (8). Noah Moeckelmann won 6-1, 6-4 and Andrew Wirjadisastra prevailed 6-2, 6-2.

Chabot also cruised past Santa Barbara 9-0 on March 16.

In other recent action, the Chabot men pocketed an 8-1 win over Grossmont on Match 15. Chabot's Keegan Yap won 6-1, 6-1 and Ben Truong battled for a tense win 6-4, 4-6, 10 (7). Moeckelmann also battled for a 3-6, 6-1, 10 (7) victory.

Chabot fell to American River 9-0 on March 14 but received solid efforts in competitive doubles matches from Wen and Yap, along with Jay Pandit and Ben Truong. Pandit also waged a three-set battle in singles, falling 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.

Chabot also swept Mission 9-0 on March 8.
