The Chabot men's tennis team, seeded third, defeated No. 6 seed Diablo Valley College 5-2 on Tuesday, April 9 in the quarterfinals of the Northern California Dual Team Playoffs at Chabot.
The Gladiators will continue their dream season at No. 2 seed American River in the semifinals on April 16.
Chabot (14-4) received clutch efforts galore against the Vikings. Roger Wen set the tone with a 6-2, 6-1 win in singles. Ben Truong also prevailed 6-2, 6-0.
In doubles, Wen and Keegan Yap were victorious 8-4 at the top spot. Jay Pandit and Truong also cruised to an 8-1 win and Sam Smith and Noah Moeckelmann prevailed 8-2.
