The No. 3 seeded Chabot College men's tennis team dropped a 5-0 decision to No. 2 host American River in the semifinals of the Northern California Dual Team Playoffs on April 16.
Match play was suspended when a team reached 5 points, and a few matches were looking for Chabot when play was stopped.
Chabot's Roger Wen, Keegan Yap and Sam Smith all appeared heading to victories when play was suspended, and Noah Moeckelmann had split sets.
Chabot finished a strong season with a 14-5 record.
Chabot's qualifiers for the State Championships next week in Ojai are Roger Wen, Jay Pandit and Sam Smith, along with doubles teams of Wen and Yap, Pandit and Ben Truong and Smith and Moeckelmann.
