CHABOT MAKES IT TWO IN A ROW

The Gladiators, guided by head coach Megan Kravets, started strongly in a 9-4 win over Hartnell on Friday – Chabot's second consecutive win.
Chabot amassed 14 hits in only 33 at bats and Marissa Dorr got her second pitching victory in a row. Chabot also beat Hartnell 7-2 on Wednesday for its first win of the season.
This time, Briana Arguello set the tone with a lead-off single in the first inning, followed by an Aliya Lubrin single and a Juliana Ottria single to drive in two runs.
The Gladiators kept the pressure on the second inning as Lubrin had an RBI single to bring home a hustling Robyn Jackson, who beat out an infield hit. Arguello also had a hit in the inning.
In the third, Chabot put the hammer down. Ottria singled and stole a base. Barbara Lindsey tripled and scored on a throwing error. Diana Morales smacked an RBI double. Jackson singled. Arguello had an RBI, and Lubrin hit an RBI single.
Morales completed the game in the fourth inning, allowing one run with one strikeout.
