CHABOT CONFRONTS STERN TESTS

After a tough nonconference schedule, the Chabot women's basketball team (7-9) will face two stern tests right out of the gate in the Coast-North.
Chabot travels to Skyline (11-2) on Wednesday, and then visits College of San Mateo (13-3) on Friday. Both games start at 5 p.m.
Skyline is ranked 12th in the CCCWBCA North Region Poll, and CSM (13-3) is tied for No. 8 in the North and 15th in the state.
A pair of freshman shooting guards, Cassidy Duncan and Kendra Grant, lead the balanced Chabot offense averaging 12.8 and 12.1 points a game.
Rounding out the team's top five scorers are Anessa Spradley (10.5 ppg), Mikee Lopez (10.5) and Dede Franklin (10.1). Franklin is also dishing off six assists a game.
