Chabot women's basketball star Kelly Tumlin ushered in the New Year with a landmark performance, tying the school record with 38 points in a 57-49 win over visiting Shasta Thursday.
Tumlin amassed nine 3-pointers as the Glads, ranked 14th in the CCCWBCA State Poll, improved to 12-5.
Chabot will wrap up nonconference play at Redwoods on Monday, Jan. 8.
Alexa Pletschette added nine points, with two 3's for Chabot.
