GLADS REVVING UP FOR PLAYOFFS

Riding a three-game winning streak, the Chabot women's basketball team (18-9, 6-3 Coast-North) will look to polish off visiting Ohlone (3-20, 0-9) to close out conference play on Friday, Feb. 23.

The Glads stand to get a home playoff game and a good seed in the regional playoffs.

"We're playing well, I think we're playing the best basketball of the year," Chabot head coach Mark Anger said. "We had the disappointments in the middle there after we beat CCSF (in conference) but gathered ourselves and we're playing good basketball."

In their last game, the Glads erased a one-point halftime deficit and routed Las Positas 91-71 on Friday, Feb. 16. Jadyn Anderson led the way with 24 of her 28 points in the second half.

"She's playing very, very well, shooting the ball well," Anger said of Anderson. "Good leadership, runs the floor, playing good defense, the leading rebounder on the team. She's getting looks from a number of four-year schools."

CCSF (18-7, 7-2) and Skyline (14-13, 7-2) top the conference, and Chabot has an outside shot at second place if CSM upsets Skyline at home on Wednesday. Chabot is ranked 20th in the State Rankings, seven spots lower than CCSF.

Chabot star Kelly Tumlin had five 3s and 24 points against Las Positas, and Lex Pletschette had four threes and 20 points.

Tumlin recently received an offer from St. Martin's University after getting an offer from Cal State East Bay.

"She's got a lot of interest. She's having a great year," Anger said of Tumlin.
