A quartet of wrestlers from Chabot are represented in the early State Rankings in Honorable Mention: Cade Talmadge (125 pounds); Andrew Aquino (133); Jason Oh (165); and Francisco Espinoza (174).
The Gladiators have a rich wrestling tradition with five state team championships (1972, 1973, 1980, 1982 (spring), 1982 (fall).
In the past 60 years, scores of Gladiators have won individual state titles.
Chabot's Anthony Cress won back-to-back state championships in 2017 (174) and 2018 (197).
