CHABOT WOMEN’S BASKETBALL EYES ROAD SHOWDOWN

The Gladiators (14-5, 0-1), coming off a bye, will look for their first conference win of the season at tough Skyline on Wednesday, Jan. 15. Skyline, riding a three-game winning streak, is coming off a 70-64 win over CCSF in overtime.

CCSF opened conference play with a 69-68 win over Chabot in Hayward on Jan. 8.

In the heartbreaking loss, Chabot was led by Zakiya Mahoney, who had 29 points and nine rebounds. Kayla Tahaafe also came up big with 23 points, seven rebounds. Nyah Willis added nine points and six boards in a game decided by a foul call in the final seconds.

Chabot was ranked tied for seventh in the Jan. 6 CCCWBCA State Poll and No. 2 in the North Region.
