ANTINERO DELIVERS IN CLUTCH
Chabot sophomore guard Chelsy Antinero scored a tough basket with 38 seconds left to essentially seal a win over Skyline, 52-49.
The hard-fought victory lifts the Glads to 10-9 overall and 2-0 in the Coast-North Conference. Nia Hunter paced Chabot with 16 points. Kenya Craven had a double-double with 12 points and 18 rebounds. Lexi Pletschette added 10 boards and five points.
Head coach Mark Anger's team faces a big week of action with tough road tests at College of San Mateo (13-7, 3-0) on Wednesday, Jan. 22 and CCSF (11-8, 3-0) on Friday, Jan. 24.
Hunter is averaging 12.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists a game. Pletschette leads the team at 13.7 points a game, shooting 85.5 percent on free throws. Craven has been solid inside with 7.6 points and 7.8 rebounds a contest.
