GLADS WIN SHOWDOWN WITH CSM
The Chabot women's basketball team split road games against two very tough opponents in the Coast-North Conference last week.
In showdown week, the Glads got off to a rousing start with a clutch win over College of San Mateo, 83-72 on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
Then Chabot fell to City College of San Francisco 57-41, on Friday, Jan. 24.
The results kept all three teams in a tight bunch atop the conference— CCSF (12-8, 4-0), CSM (13-8, 3-1) and Chabot (11-10, 3-1).
"It was a big road win against San Mateo," Chabot head coach Mark Anger said. "We played hard and executed our plays."
Lex Pletschette led the Glads with 25 points (hitting 6 3-pointers) and eight rebounds. Nia Hunter had 24 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and six steals.
But things didn't go well against CCSF.
"Against City we came out a little flat," Anger said. "We kept them to 29.2 percent shooting and 21.7 percent on threes."
Pletschette finished with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds.
"Tough loss but we'll bounce back stronger," Anger stated on Instagram.
