Bio
A native from Oakland, California, and a graduate of Bishop O’Dowd High School, Mahoney helped lead her team to a state championship in Division III in 2014 before continuing her basketball career at Chabot College. There, she averaged 18.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game in her sophomore season, helping the team reach the Elite 8 before the season was cut short. Mahoney then continued her journey at Mississippi Valley State University from 2020 to 2023, where she averaged 13.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game, showing consistent growth and leadership despite a season-ending injury in 2022-2023.
At Jackson State, Mahoney played a pivotal role in her team’s conference championship win and NCAA tournament appearance, averaging 5.1 points, 4.1 rebounds in 18.3 minutes during the 2023-2024 season. With a Master’s in Business Administration from Jackson State, she blends athletic talent with a strong academic foundation. Outside of basketball, Mahoney enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.
